best dad’s birthday

We started out by meandering along Ocean Avenue and eating breakfast at The Georgian, an older hotel with ocean-facing views. Their french toast is to die for. Meaning, you will die if you eat it often. A rich and delightful treat!

We then went home so the baby girl could take a long nap. Next up was the Malibu Farm Pier Cafe. Crab cakes and lattes…a mix straight from heaven. MMmm. Okay, not really. It was a terribly non-matchy choice, but on his birthday he got whatever he wanted!

Journey had fun on the table until she almost fell through the window…

We saw surfers and it was Journey’s first time watching the waves from a pier. She’s officially a surfer girl now, right?

Also, loved the decor there.

We then went over to the Serra Retreat area and drove around looking at homes and creeks and exploring the mountains of Santa Monica. So beautiful!

My favorite thing is that we had our girl with us. I gave Kyler the option of getting a sitter and spending the day out together and he wanted her to be with us. That’s why he’s the one I adore.

Happy birthday from your two faves!
