She Needed My Eyes.

Second dance class tonight! She’s learning class cooperation, how to follow directions from someone other than a parent, and basic tap dance steps. And of course independence since parents stand outside the glass doors.

When she turned around to find me here, I was already snapping pics — but she seemed to need something. Turns out she just needed my eyes to see her eyes.
I’m proud of her for pushing past a couple things, finishing the class, and giving Ms. Maddie thank you hugs.

And frankly I’m super proud of me cuz I wanted to run in and scoop her up. But I let her grow up a little more instead.

God, help me know when and how to both hold on and let go. Always learning.
Precious gift.
